Responsible for content
Matthias Brecht (address as above).
EU dispute resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS), available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Liability for content
As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on this website under general law. We are not obligated to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances indicating unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement becomes known.
Liability for links
This website may contain links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. Therefore we cannot accept any liability for this external content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. Linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; no unlawful content was identifiable at that time.
Terms of Use
For the DiveScan app
The service
DiveScan lets you scan pages of a paper dive log, uses an AI vision model to extract the data, and stores the result in a digital logbook synced through your own private iCloud account. New installs receive a number of free scan credits; additional credits can be purchased as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.
Purchases
All purchases (scan credit packs) are processed by Apple via the App Store. Pricing, billing, and refunds for in-app purchases are governed by Apple's own terms and policies. Scan credits do not expire but have no cash value and are non-transferable.
Accuracy of extraction
DiveScan uses an AI model to read handwritten and printed dive log pages. While extraction is generally accurate, it is not guaranteed to be error-free — that's why every scan goes through a review screen before anything is saved. You are responsible for checking extracted data before confirming a save.
"As is"
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We aim for high availability of the extraction service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, since it depends on third-party infrastructure (Apple, Anthropic).
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time; material changes will be reflected with a new date on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by German law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country you reside in.
